Worth CountyDr. Mike Dierenfeld has served as the Worth County Fair veterinarian for the past nearly 40 years. His dedication to the Worth County 4-H program has been experienced in many ways. He is presently serving as president of the Worth County 4-H Committee which he has been doing for the past nearly 20 years. He also is the Worth County 4-H Herdsmanship Judge where he is responsible for assuring that all of the 4-H Livestock at the Worth County Fair are well cared for and looking good in the barns at all times. In his role as treasurer of the local Cattlemen's Association Mike has been responsible for providing funding for a number of beef project support programs including the Beef rate gain competition, Beef carcass awards, beef show halters that his vet clinic provides and the 4-H beef animal science roundup. Mike's tireless efforts in overseeing the health of all of the livestock during the Fair has not gone unnoticed. He has been recognized by our Iowa State Veterinarians as being one of the most dedicated veterinarians in the state for supporting youth livestock programming at the local level and Worth County families are very appreciative of his ongoing service. We would like to thank Dr. Mike Dierenfeld for his outstanding support of the Worth County 4-H Program.
