JohnsonDelores and Deanne Eden are the well-known mother daughter duo of Johnson County 4-H. It is not rare to encounter their joyful faces at the fairgrounds or extension office anytime of year. Delores has been involved in Johnson County 4-H all her life, from being a member of the former “Scott Lassies” club, and then becoming a volunteer for the “Ramblin’ Rosies”, which is now Ramblin’ Recks and Rosies 4-H Club. Her experiences led her to raise her daughter in the program as well, which has led Deanne to wrapping up her 38th year of volunteering for 4-H! She has watched kids go through the 4-H program and enroll their children, making them her “4-H grandchildren”!

This duo has had a positive impact on every youth they have met, and are positive role models in their lives. Deanne and Delores said that watching members grow to try new things no matter the challenge is the best part of being a 4-H volunteer.

These two truly exemplify the four H’s of 4-H. Johnson County 4-H is proud to have Deanne and Delores Eden represented as our 2023 Hall of fame recipients for their many hours of dedication to our program, and the positive imprint we will see for years to come.
