Iowa 4-H Foundation

Program Support

Each year, the Iowa 4-H Foundation provides support of county, regional and state level 4-H Programs. Individual donors and corporate partners provide the funding necessary to help 4-H to innovate, to reach more young people and help them to reach their potential.

Program Grants

Through an endowment established following the sale of the Iowa 4-H Center, the Iowa 4-H Foundation twice annually awards grants to 4-H Programs across the state to fund immediate needs of the program.

New for 2023: the 4-H Forward Pilot Grant is designed to help local and regional 4-H programs grow. This three-year pilot will provide $35,000 to selected applicants with innovative approaches to recruiting and retaining 4-H members, reaching new audiences and growing local capacity.

Endowments

Endowments created by donors provide ongoing support for a particular program area or county. Program Endowments provide annual funding to support programs like National 4-H Congress, livestock judging teams, shooting sports and more. You can contribute to an existing endowment or create your own!

County Support: Eighty-three counties hold endowment funds with the Iowa 4-H Foundation. These funds provide support for local county 4-H programs and initiatives.
