Jodi McConnahaMuscatine County Extension and Outreach are pleased to nominate Jodi McConnaha for the 2022 Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame.

As a child, Jodi was introduced to 4-H as a member of the Fulton  4-H Club. When her two children reached enrollment age, she decided to support them in their 4-H endeavors by volunteering as a leader of the Moscow Friendly 4-H Club.

For ten years, Jodi helped Muscatine County youth learn the value of giving back to their community, nurturing their creativity, and piquing their interest in a variety of project areas. From leading workshops on gingerbread house building and cookie decorating to preparing and serving meals at the Ronald McDonald House to painting barns at the fairgrounds, she enjoyed watching youth develop leadership skills to last a lifetime. The conference judging day was one of Jodi’s favorite experiences with the members of her club. She appreciated the opportunity for youth to practice their communication skills while sharing what they had learned through their project work.

Beyond being a leader, Jodi continues to support 4-H youth as a member of the Muscatine County 4-H Endowment Committee, where she has served as president and vice-president.

When asked about the importance of the 4-H experience, Jodi states, “4-H youth are passionate, and it is exciting to see them accomplish their goals. I want to see kids succeed.”

Muscatine County 4-H deeply appreciates her ongoing dedication to and support of positive youth development programming!
