Allen and Marilyn Platner have been long time supporters of the Linn County 4-H Program and our Extension staff members! 
Marilyn has embodied the 4-H spirit for a long time and once gave a presentation at State Fair on how to put a zipper and collar on a blouse. She accidentally knocked the iron off the corner of the table and smoothly picked it up and continued. The judges were impressed that she continued as if nothing had happened.
She was a leader of the Indian Creek 4-H Club for many years and encouraged here members to always keep trying!
Allen was a member of the Sheep Committee for many years and served on the Linn County 4-H Youth Programs Committee! He always made sure to support Extension staff even attending Fair board meetings to support staff during some difficult discussions.
