Mardyll was a 4-H leader for 32 years leading the Troy Good Homemakers 4-H club to many successful county fair and club activities. Mardyll also served on the Monroe County Fairboard for as many years.Mardyll Albertson Benson

Earl was a 4-H member in his youthful years, and as an adult, became a 4-H leader for many years for the Troy Troopers Ag 4-H club. Earl and Mardyll worked together many times to help the youth in Monroe County “Make the Best Better”.

Mardyll often had members come to their home to let them use her sewing machine for fair exhibits. The husband and wife team grew two of Monroe County’s most successful    4-H clubs that still function today.

Earl enjoyed being on the fair board serving as president for many years. Earl also volunteered as a 4-H Swine superintendent. Mardyll and Earl were always very proud of their 4-H club members and their accomplishments. They belonged to the 4-H 400 club. Mardyll and Earl’s two children, Gary and Marla, were active 4-H members.

Earl passed away in 1996 leaving a legacy of very successful 4-H growth and knowledge.  Mardyll remarried in 2002 to Harold Benson and is still very active helping the Monroe County 4-H program.
