Sally Heacock has been involved in 4-H as a volunteer for over 30 years. In 2008, she received her 30 year Volunteer Award certificate and pin.Sally Heacock

Even though Sally has “retired” from 4-H, it is still in her blood. She is very active in the yearly fruit sale fundraiser. Sally is the main person who organizes the fruit sales and makes sure the youth in Dubuque County 4-H have a chance for a good fundraising experience.

She has been around 4-H all her life, first as a 4-H member and then as a leader. She taught many adults and kids what 4-H is all about. Sally is someone who is always available to help others and provided support to other clubs if needed. Even after Sally retired, she was a friendly face at the Dubuque County Fair. She volunteered to be a building coordinator and always did a great job. Her retirement gave her the time to bake cinnamon rolls on Tuesday morning before the dairy show.

Sally Heacock has been a great volunteer throughout the years, whether it was as a club leader, or just a helping hand. Sally is someone that we know we can go to if any questions arise or if we need an extra hand. Sally has retired as a volunteer, but we know that she will always be part of Dubuque County 4-H.
