Volunteers who are willing to work with youth and also give of their time are hard to come by.  Julie Harriman is one example of the volunteers we have in Iowa County. Julie Harriman

Julie has spent many hours involved in the 4-H program.  Julie and her late husband, Terry, have placed an active emphasis on rural living with 4-H playing a large role in their daily life.

As a young girl growing up Julie was actively involved in the Iowa County 4-H program where she was a member of 4 Lucky I’s 4-H Club. She was involved in the static project areas especially woodworking.  Her involvement in 4-H continued as her children were actively involved in the county 4-H program.  In 2012 Julie’s 4-H club, under her daughter Taylor’s leadership, created Pee Wee Bottle Lamb Show for Iowa County Clover Kids (Kindergarten - 3rd grade).  The Pee Wee Bottle Lamb Show has grown every year.  Julie also serves as a fair superintendent for the static exhibits.

Julie served as a member of the Iowa County Youth Committee for several years and was a co-leader of the Crossroads 4-H Club for ten years.

Julie provides a positive influence to the youth in her club and community.  She willingly gives numerous hours to the program on the local and county level.  Julie is always available to offer words of encouragement and praise for a job well done to both youth and adults.

Congratulations Julie Harriman – Iowa County is proud to have you represent us.
