Bret and Sherry MaceThe Emmet County 4-H program is happy to induct Bret and Sherry Mace into the 2016 Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame.  The Mace’s have been an essential part of the Emmet County 4-H program for many years.  Their passion for 4-H, and their influence on the youth who participate in it, has been witnessed by many.

Sherry’s involvement with 4-H started from her own 4-H experience as a member of the Ellsworth Go-Getters, to helping their two sons with their 4-H projects.  Sherry has made an impact in Emmet County by volunteering on fair judging day, setting up the state fair booth and taking fair exhibits to the Iowa State Fair. Sherry also serves as the secretary of the Emmet County Fair Board and is the Fair Queen Coordinator. One day Sherry would like to volunteer at the Iowa State Fair with checking-in 4-H exhibits.

Bret has been involved on multiple committees and maintaining the fairgrounds. Bret is always just a phone call away when help is needed. Bret is the Vice President of the Emmet County Fair Board, President of the 4-H and Youth committee, and serves on the 4-H Foundation and Glow Run committees. Bret has also been very involved assisting their two sons with their 4-H projects and exhibits, fair set-up, taking 4-H exhibits to the state fair and much more!!

Bret and Sherry are dedicated and dependable volunteers, always willing to open their house for club meetings, county council meetings, 4-H workshops and to lend a hand wherever needed. They are very appreciated by the Emmet County 4-H program.  Congratulations to both Bret and Sherry!
