Jane CooleJane has been a long-time supporter of the 4-H program in Wayne County since her sons were members in the mid-1970s through early 80s.  She served as a leader for the Benton Battlers 4-H Club, a member of the County 4-H Youth Committee and a member of the Wayne County Extension Council.

Jane continued to contribute by assisting with the 4-H Food Stand at the county fair, transporting exhibits to and from the Iowa State Fair and by offering leather tooling workshops for youth.

Jane can be counted on to be interested in 4-H youth and the 4-H program, to offer generous doses of encouragement and to lend a hand whenever something needs done.

Jane graduated from Corydon High School in 1959.  In 1964, following service in the military, she and her husband Mel (deceased) moved to her family farm, where they raised cattle and row crops.  Although no longer actively farming, she continues to reside on the farm, pursuing a variety of interests related to natural resources.
