Danny and Patsy BulsDanny and Patsy Buls have been lifelong supporters in the Bremer County 4-H program. Patsy has volunteered her time being a past 4-H leader for the Dayton Dodgers, current Photography and Visual Arts Superintendent, fair board volunteer, and is a key part on Bremer County Communications Day committee. Patsy can always be counted on to lend a helping hand or encouraging word. She spends countless hours during fair providing assistance in the fair board office helping out within the fair board. Her 4-H knowledge is indispensible and she has always been a positive role model for other volunteers.

Danny has given his time over the years by being the previous and still assisting Crop Superintendent, formally on the ISU Bremer County Extension Board, and currently and active Fair Board member (the boards treasurer). He  can always be counted on to help at 4-H/FFA weigh ins and has a positive word where ever he goes. Danny has been an excellent role model for 4-Hers to look up to and fits the motto “to make the best better” with all his hard work.

Both Danny and Patsy have been supportive of their kids 4-H future and the future of the program by continuing the growth and development of other Bremer County Youth by their volunteering.

Danny and Patsy have been long time active members of St. John’s Spring Fountain Church in rural Sumner, IA. During their membership, Patsy has served as the Superintendant of Sunday School, Sunday School teacher, Ladies Aid member, and Vacation Bible School Crafts Teacher. Danny has held the positions of Treasurer, Elder, and is now the active President. Both are very instrumental in the annual church supper. Their dedication to their church and faith has positively impacted their community and their lives. This is just another example of how these two impact their community.
