2009 Chickasaw County - Richard & Joyce SchillingRichard was an active 4-Her of the Williamstown Jr. Farmers from 1947-1955 with sheep & lambs, hay & gardening as projects.  He was awarded the National Convention Chicago trip in 1954.  Not only did he serve all the offices during his 4-H years but was also a leader for 30 years (1967-1997) and still remains active today. Richard & Joyce started a 4-H Family Campout weekend for their members& families at local campgrounds.  They also "toured" each club members home to see their projects they were working on for fair and also arranged to play softball with other clubs in the county.  Joyce had an important part in helping their five children become active in the 4-H program. One award that all five of the children named was "Outstanding 4-H'er".  Richard and Joyce are also proud to say that they have the third generation of Schilling's involved in 4-H today!
