2008 Dickinson County - Beth WillBeth began her 4-H career at nine years old as part of Dickinson County 4-H by joining the Diamond Lake Darlings 4-H Club.  She was an active member of the club through her school years with the Beef project being her favorite.  Although she was not very excited about sewing, she did sew a quilt of out of farmer hankies that went to the Iowa State Fair.

Beth followed in her parent’s footsteps by becoming a 4-H Community Club Leader for the Diamond Lakers when her daughter was old enough to join 4-H.  Through the 90’s, Beth was involved with the 4-H & Youth Committee in Dickinson County, giving hours of her time to youth at fair time.

Beth remains a Dickinson County 4-H Volunteer serving as chairperson for the Static Project Committee for the past several years and an “unofficial” member of the Swine Department.  From explaining Elements of Design and Art Principles to being on a team for the Farm Chore Olympics and ending up in the water tank, Beth never hesitates to offer her time and expertise to the Dickinson County 4-H Program.
