Dick has been a tremendous asset to the Benton County 4H Program. He is constantly visible and accessible at weigh-ins, any activities at the fairgrounds and during fair and has never wanted anything but the best for the exhibitors and the fair. Our program is truly lucky to have such an advocate for our members, their families, our fair and our program.
Dick says: “I joined 4H at the age of 10 and it gave me the energy to strive to be better in life. I served4H offices and also made President of the County 4H. After 4H I was a 4H leader for 4 years. A short period of time later I entered the position of the Benton County Fairboard as Secretary then as Director for 43 years which I have been President for the past 24 years. My board and I are all for the youth of 4H. I love to promote anything that involves the kids of our county. All improvements for the fairgrounds are directed to 4H. Not to entertainment, etc. I have been all for the kids and their participation has been so great it’s wonderful!”
