Dale & Cynthy SpencerDale Spencer and the late Cynthy Spencer of Villisca have always been dedicated to the success of youth in Montgomery County.  Cynthy served as the Busy Boosters 4-H Club leader for 9 years.  Dale served as County Fair Herdsmanship Superintendent for 25 years and served on the County Extension Council for 9 years.  

Dale and Cynthy Spencer moved to Villisca in 1963.  Dale served as the Villisca High School Agricultural Education Instructor from 1963 to 1973 and from 1988 to 2003.  Cynthy served as one of the leaders of the Busy Boosters 4-H Club in Villisca from 1985 to 1994.  Their two children, Alan and Dee, were both 9 year 4-H members of the Northeast Herdsmen 4-H Club and the Busy Boosters 4-H Club respectively.  Dale served as the Montgomery County Fair Herdsmanship Superintendent for 25 years, served on the Montgomery County Extension Council for 9 years, taught Extension Tractor Safety courses 4 times, served as Assistant Livestock Judging Contest Superintendent for 15 years, judged a variety of county fair events ranging from rabbits to ag mechanics.

Since the time the Spencer’s moved to Villisca in 1963, they have always been dedicated to helping young people succeed and being involved in the community.  Their time spent as a 4-H leader, FFA Advisor, and community volunteers, has touched three generations of Montgomery County youth.
