Bill HemmWhile a member of 4-H in Franklin County Bill Hemm of Sheffield, had many great experiences.  He exhibited his first Champion Baby Beef in 1937, was a member of the top Iowa State Fair Livestock Judging Team, competed in the International Livestock Show judging contest in Chicago, and named top individual livestock judge at the Iowa State Fair in 1939.  Bill was elected Boys 4-H County President in 1939, and was selected as the State Livestock Production member and awarded a trip to the National 4-H Congress in Chicago.  As an adult he and his wife became club leaders and served on the County 4-H Committee.  Bill says, “There are few things more gratifying than working with young people and seeing them do well.”

·    competed at the International Livestock Show in Chicago
