Carol Bohaty was a 4-H Leader for the Far Out 4’s 4-H Club for 24 years. As a leader she attended leaders meetings, trainings, and State Forums in Illinois, Iowa and Minnesota. She has been a 4-H County Fair Judge for 17 years. She was a member of the Chickasaw County Extension Council for 14 years. Carol also served on the Iowa Association of County Extension Councils Board representing Northeast Area. She worked hard to pass the tax referendum in Chickasaw County. Carol was the recipient of the “Friend of Extension” Award.
The Bohaty Family was named Chickasaw County Outstanding 4-H Family in 1997. In November of 2000, Carol started working as Chickasaw County 4-H Youth Coordinator. Both Fred and Carol were named Honorary 4-H Members. Fred has helped throughout 30 years with whatever needed to be done whether it was a craft, wood project, repairing, fair helper, fundraising helper, and donor sponsor.
